For more than 40 years now, we have been publishing the leading Swedish independent, non-profit magazine for literature, art and criticism – 20TAL. Our issues consist of previously unpublished fiction, poetry, art projects, essays, feature interviews and literary translations. Every issue includes an acclaimed debutant section, where many of the foremost literary talents in Sweden have been published for the first time.
Having released over a hundred themed issues, our publication history spans over topics such as contemporary South Korean, Japanese, Kenyan and Ukranian literature, ecology in the arts, gurlesque feminism, iconoclasm in a hypermediated world, and much more.
Since its founding in 1997, the Stockholm International Poetry Festival has been the most important event for contemporary and pioneering literature in Scandinavia.
In 2010 we began publishing books under the imprint 10TAL Bok, now 20TAL Bok.
Poetry consists of materialised dreams. It grants peace and proclaims revolution. It can never be imprisoned by dogma or genre. It is floating through music, art and dance. Poetry is the substance of all of our work – whether it is the 20TAL magazine, the 20TAL books, or the Stockholm International Poetry Festival.
