About Stockholm International Poetry Festival

With the aim of introducing international literary impulses to Sweden, 20TAL annually arranges the Stockholm International Poetry Festival, founded in 1997. The festival features the most urgent contemporary poetry, dramatics, art and music. The Stockholm International Poetry Festival has gained international recognition for its high quality of program, oragnisation and form, and today the festival is the biggest poetic manifestation in Scandinavia.
By organising the festival, 20TAL aims to establish and protect the swedish meeting place for international poetry, and by fully promoting the poetic expression, the Stockholm International Poetry Festival is one of a kind. The days of the festival is filled with newly written poetry, dramatics, art installations, newly composed music, and choreography, created by today’s most innovative authors, artists and musicians from different parts of the world. The festival consists of several days and evenings with seminars, readings and performances.
